The mission of GRIS is to help the aging 50+ LGBTQ community and aging members living with HIV in Southern Illinois overcome the disparities due to the lack of equative services available to them.
We are committed to giving the 50+LGBTQ community and those aging with HIV a sense of purpose and improving their health and well-being in legal, health, housing, medical, history, and social engagement.
GRIS is celebrating 2 years as an organization and recently received 501c3 status.
Illinois State Treasurer Michael Frerichs honored Billy Rogers, President of Golden Rainbows of Illinois South, with the Outstanding Commitment to Community Service award during the state's LGBTQ+ History Month celebration held on October 9, 2024, in Chicago.
